Hey AI Breakers,

This tutorial is wild. With Google’s new tool Nano Banana, you can create Instagram carousels that look like they took a pro designer hours to build, but in reality, you can pump them out in under 5 minutes.

Right now, carousels are exploding on Instagram. The good news? I’ll walk you through three viral styles step by step and give you the exact workflow + prompts.

Let’s dive in 👇

🎯 Goal

Learn how to use Nano Banana + Canva to generate 3 types of trending carousels that grow your reach on Instagram.

🛠️ The System

1. Spotlight Carousels (perfect for trends & news)

Think of these as your instant trend hack. Perfect for breaking news, viral updates, or anything you want to spotlight fast. They grab attention with bold visuals and strong headlines.

  • Step 1: Go to Google AI Studio → select Gemini 2.5 Flash image preview.

  • Step 2: Upload a reference carousel that already performs well.

  • Step 3: Choose your subject (e.g. Taylor Swift, a trending topic, your brand).

  • Step 4: Use this prompt:

Create an Instagram carousel slide in the style of [insert reference carousel link or description].

Feature [topic/subject: e.g. Taylor Swift, AI news, product launch].

Use a bold, minimal design with strong headline placement.

Keep text short, readable, and high contrast for Instagram.
  • Step 5: Export the image → polish in Canva (resize, expand, tweak text, remove logos).

💡 Pro Tip: Use spotlight carousels when you need to be the first mover on breaking news.

2. Quote Carousels (perfect for personal brands & motivation)

The evergreen viral format. Clean, motivational, and instantly shareable. Perfect for building authority, inspiring your audience, or filling your content calendar with high-performing posts.
